Personal Information

The type of information we collect about you depends on several factors, but it generally consists of information related to the financial products or services you wish to compare, or information required to provide you with further details. Where applicable, we will always allow you to interact with us without disclosing your name. Without this information, it is not possible to contact you to provide our services.

Depending on the service you require, the information may include your name, address, date of birth, gender, insurance history, employment details, marital status, identification details (e.g., driver's license, passport details), banking details, social security information, health insurance number, details regarding the risk you wish to insure, details concerning your financial situation (e.g., your existing assets and/or liabilities) and future needs, the value of your current assets, and your contact details.

If you participate in and win a contest promoted by us (or our agents), we may use your name, image (e.g., a photograph), and/or voice recordings for the purpose of promoting or marketing the contest and/or our services. Such images and likenesses will not be redistributed without your express consent.

SENSITIVE INFORMATION

To initiate a comparison or obtain a quote for the financial products offered (such as a car loan or a mortgage), we may also—and only if expressly necessary—collect sensitive information from you. Sensitive information may relate to, among other things, a person's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership in a political association, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical convictions, membership in a professional or trade association, trade union membership, sexual preferences or practices, criminal record, or health information.

HOW WE COLLECT AND RETAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Funding club will only collect personal information authorized by law. Funding club collects personal information through multiple means. It is Funding club's standard practice to collect personal information directly from you (or from a representative you have authorized) in various instances, including when:

• you request or confirm a quote for a product or service offered by our participating suppliers;
• you request or purchase a product offered by a Funding club company and/or our participating suppliers;
• you contact us by telephone, mail, email, or via an online form;
• you visit our website (including when you request a quote via contact forms);
• we provide you with any ancillary product or service; or
• you participate or request to participate in any commercial promotion, contest, special offer, or similar activity with Funding club or its direct partners.

Occasionally, we collect personal information about current or prospective clients from a third party, a publicly accessible source, or from marketing lists and similar lists that comply with all applicable privacy laws.

If you provide us with personal information about another individual (for example, a family member), we encourage you to share this Privacy Policy with them to inform them of their rights and its terms.

All partial and complete submissions will be received by Funding club, even if you close your browser window.

If we disclose your personal information to our business partners or participating vendors, they will use, process, and manage your personal information in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

Funding club does not, and will not, sell your personal information to third-party commercial entities.

We may share your personal information with third parties if we genuinely believe that sharing such information is required or authorized by applicable law.

Funding club may record details of—or block—specific IP addresses (Internet Protocol addresses, i.e., unique computer identifiers) (and, where appropriate, provide such details to third parties to assist us) in order to maintain the integrity of the website, prevent malfunctions, and ensure the security of all parties.

DISCLOSURE TO EXTERNAL ORGANIZATIONS

We may engage external organizations to handle customer inquiries, mailing operations, billing and debt collection functions, IT services, marketing and telemarketing market research, and web traffic analysis.

This means that we disclose your personal information (such as name and address) to parties that carry out these activities on our behalf. We take reasonable steps to ensure that these organizations are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations regarding the protection of your personal information.

Our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform is a product provided by Amazon, Inc., a company headquartered in the United States of America and subject to its laws. Your personal information may be stored in a secure and encrypted form abroad (for example, in data storage and cloud computing facilities operated by us—or by third parties on Funding club's behalf).

ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You have the right to access and correct any personal information that we hold. In certain cases (for example, if required or permitted by law), we may refuse access to all or part of the personal information we retain. We will always provide our reasons in writing if we refuse access in any instance.

We may charge a reasonable fee for access to your personal data, but we will inform you of the amount of this fee before processing any requests. We will always respond to requests for access and/or correction in a timely manner. Furthermore, we will grant you access in the manner requested, provided it is cost-effective and practical to do so. If you provide us with information regarding another individual, you must obtain that person's consent before disclosing it to Funding club. If you choose to inform that individual that we have collected their personal information, they have the right to access the information we hold; they must submit a request to do so in order to determine what personal information we are processing.

Funding club uses Google AdWords to advertise its services online. Third-party vendors, including Google, serve personalized ads on websites across the World Wide Web. Funding club and third-party vendors, including Google, use a combination of first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie, embedded in our pages) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on a user's past visits to our website.
